Did You Know?

... that Avo cigars are actually named after Avo Uvezian, the internationally-acclaimed pianist? Well, I found this information just today while browsing for premium cigars. A friend of mine likes cigars and I think it would make a perfect gift on his 50th birthday. And I'm so thankful because I found famous-smoke.com, leading seller of premium cigars at discounted prices. If I buy from them, I could save as much as 50%! Where else can you find that?

This is the set of questions for July 16. Enjoy reading my answers! :)

Breakfast: What is looming on your to do list right now?
~ I got a gazillion of things to do right now. On top is to finish my online tasks. Second is to go to the grocery store and buy all the ingredients I need for my birthday next week. And third, clean the house! And etc, etc...

Lunch: What was your life like this week?
~ Crazy busy!

Dinner: What is a fear you currently have?
~ Fear of losing any of my loved ones.

Midnight Snack: When is the last time you took time for yourself?
~ Before I gave birth to my lil boy.

Recipe of the Week (instead of your recipe for life, what is it just for this week?)
~ Being thankful for all the blessings I received in the past year. And with this, I want to share this very inspiring quote from Og Mandino:

Count your blessings. Once you realize how valuable you are and how much you have going for you, the smiles will return, the sun will break out, the music will play, and you will finally be able to move forward the life that God intended for you with... grace, strength, courage, and confidence.

Motherhood from Another Perspective

1:32 AM / Comments (0) / by {C-Q Family}

I was really inspired with what Mommy JoyD, shared on this BLOG. As the guest blogger, she shared her thoughts on parenthood and what she had learned in raising three wonderful children all through these years. And I quoted the part which I like the most. Here goes:

That’s what motherhood is all about, giving LOVE, comfort, guidance, discipline and security .

I believe that CONFIDENCE is a key to effective parenting. Confident parents are positive and positive parents are very powerful people. It promotes effective discipline, which improves children’s behaviour and in the long term, forms much of the basis for the child’s own self confidence.

Thanks for sharing this Mommy Joy! :)

Oh my gosh! I still can't stop laughing everytime I read the "Before and After Marriage Jokes" I snagged from Mai's blog. I even printed out a copy and had my married friends read it and they too were bawling in laughter. Hehe! Most of us can relate with the shopping joke as well as the 5th joke where the husband gifted his wife some pills for weight loss for their anniversary. Haha! Because if we don't slow down with our food intake, for sure we will all double or triple up our current weight years from now.

I noticed just now that the technorati rank of my blogs went down. :( It's sad but I don't really have control over things like this. Even my PR on this blog went down to ZERO. Oh well, just as they say, blogging life must go on no matter what!

If we still have readers on this blog, hello to you! We apologize for not updating this blog as often as we should. As you know, we are moving into a new apartment and that really kept us us busy. We are done moving our stuff to our new place and all that's left to do right now is clean our previous apartment so we can get our security deposit. Okat, that's all for now. We will update you when we are 100% done with the move. :)

What to Do?

I got another call from SHC today asking if I am still interested to enroll in their medical assisting certification program. They just want to know because classes will start next month and they need to reserve a slot for me. But I'm not really sure if I can commit to attend a class 4x a week because I have a baby to take care of. He's too young to be left alone with a babysitter. So I just told them that I will give them a call once I made up mind. For now, the online medical assisting program at Allied Health Institute appeals to me more because I can just stay at home and study online at any time convenient to me.

Moving Soon!

1:21 AM / Comments (0) / by {C-Q Family}

Our moving day is getting closer and closer! We are so excited! Hubby and I can't stop talking about it. We just can't wait to move into a newer and remodeled apartment. Yup, it was just recently remodeled and we are lucky because as the new tenants, we were able to pick the color and design of the glass tile accenting the kitchen wall as well as the countertops. We even got to choose the carpeting in the bedroom! Really cool, huh?! Add to that the cool amenities they offer such as swimming pool, a tennis and basketball court, a playground and a fitness gym - all for free!

Hubby's "MINI" Surprise

Here's what hubby got me 2 weeks ago!

Hubby's 'MINI" surprise! :)

An HP Mini with Intel® Atom™ Processor! The bundle comes with a netbook case and a 4 GB memory stick. Plus I added a mini optical mouse to complete the package. At first I wasn't sure what to pick but the salesman was very helpful and he explained to me the pros and cons of all the netbooks on display. And after all the talking, I ended up choosing the HP Mini because it has all the specs I need.

4. Where is the smallest island you have ever visited? The Wishing Island in the Island City of Samal.
