CLEARING UP CAR-SEAT CONFUSION
The safest way for a kid under 4 to ride is facing backward, according to a new British study. Aim to keep your tot rear-facing up to your seat's weight and height limits - not just until the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) minimum of 1 year of age and 20 pounds.
IF MOM AND DAD ARE HAPPY...
... odds are their newborn will be, too, according to a study in Bioscience Hypothese, which found that mood-related brain chemicals can affect genes in egg and sperm cells. All the more reason to look on the bright side when you can!
