No first-aid cream?
Just rub a little sugar in the wound; it's been used for centuries as an antibacterial agent, says Lillian Beard. M.D., author of Salt in Your Sock and Other Tried-and-True Home Remedies. To sweet-treat a small cut or scrape: Wash your hands and the boo-boo, then gently apply a paste of sugar and water. Rinse after a minute or two, pat dry, and cover with a bandage.
